Shall an ordinance amendment to the Town of Union Land Use Ordinance be consistent with public law 30-A M.R.S. §§ 4364,an act to increase housing opportunities in Maine be enacted.

Shall an ordinance amendment to the Town of Union Land Use Ordinance regarding the Planning Board's and Zoning Board's qualifications be enacted.

NOMINATION PAPERS FOR LOCAL ELECTED OFFICES ARE NOW AVAILABLE AT THE TOWN OFFICE

Nominations are being sought for the following vacancies:

1 - Select Board Member, 2-year term
1 - Select Board Member, 3-year term
1 - Director of RSU#40, 3-year term
4 - Budget Committee Members, 3-year terms
1 - Trustee of the William L. Pullen Fund, 4-year term
1 - Trustee of the Cemetery Trust Fund, 3-year term

To qualify for the June 10, 2025 Municipal Election Ballot, nomination papers need to be returned to the Town Office by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday April 10, 2025 and are required to have at least 25, but no more than 100 signatures of registered Union voters.

The Town of Union is holding a “Submit Your Photo” open to residents, employees of the Town, and Union-based businesses to use on the cover of our annual report, website, social media, and all other town venues.

What to enter:

Submit your favorite photo(s) of places or landmarks in Union, Maine (no people).

How to enter:

Submit your photo(s) via email to deputyclerk@union.maine.gov, along with your name, address, phone number, date, and location of the image.

Who may enter:

The submission is open to all Union residents, employees of the Town, and Union-based businesses.

Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are held at the Town Office, downstairs in the William L. Pullen Municipal Building Meeting Room, and can be watched on Town Hall Streams.
